made a similar point on the opinions podcast this week in response to the idea that epstein is a dead end. not only are actual voters interested in this but it divides the gop and puts pressure on the president. it would be political malpractice to treat it as a sideshow
The usual suspects are telling Dems that Epstein won’t win elections, get back to “affordability” and I think my head might explode. www.offmessage.net/p/force-a-re...

We’re getting so much empty, stupid, outrageous corruption and I just want a Democratic Party that says, “Enough.” That’s a full sentence!
Democrats should run the most aggressive, brutal, unrestricted anti-corruption campaign in history. Fuck all the big money, just go hard at the wealthy like you’ll never win them over. Because you won’t.

I'm reposting this photo to ask a question: Is Trump's obsession with gold some kind of Louis the Sun King delusion? Like he wants to pretend he lives in Versailles, but because his decorating style is an Atlantic City jumble sale, he turns everything into a gold plated shitbox?

Two new Silicon Valley data centers are built and ready to operate, but they can't start running: the electric power equipment they need isn’t available. The U.S. electrical grid faces a crisis of supply-chain delays and soaring costs that threaten reliability, even as demand surges.
Supply-chain delays, rising equipment prices threaten electricity grid
The equipment needed to keep the grid running is hard to make, and materials are limited. And supply-chain bottlenecks are taking years to clear.

Anyway, the answers are there. It’s media consumption and partisanship.
6/ Tl;dr: The answer is there, especially when you actually ask people about it. But no one really wants to hear it, because it is deeply awkward for lots of folks with vested interests in the answer being something else.

"Have you heard about the terrible economy?"

✅He personally directs criminal investigations.
✅He is targeting opponents.
✅Epstein "records" exist and he knows the contents.

my takeaway from this letter is that glenn youngkin, rector sheridan and their flunkies on the board are deeply dishonest people who are engaged, with the trump administration, in a mob-style shakedown against the university of virginia
Former UVA president Jim Ryan, who resigned over the summer due to pressure from the Trump Administration, just shared this 12-page letter with the Faculty Senate, detailing his experience with the Board of Visitors and DOJ.

It's a surreal--and troubling--read.
