Federal Judges have a very real and well-established reason to fear doxing and violence and yet I doubt anyone thinks it would be acceptable for them to preside from the bench in a hood.

The DHS defense of Pretti's killing focuses on the existence of the gun. But look at everything that happened before the agents discovered the gun.
DHS agents escalated: macing and mercilessly beat Pretti as he tried to protect two people being assaulted. None of that was remotely acceptable.

Yet another example of the idiocy of the Supreme Court’s immunity opinion: If Trump invades Greenland, even for the most insane reason (like not winning the Nobel Peace Prize) and against our obvious national interest, it’s an “official act” that can never be held legally accountable

The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

Reagan's approach to the world prominently featured two things:

1) Russian aggression bad, Western democratic alliance good
2) Free trade good, tariffs and other barriers to trade bad

Pretending it's the opposite is the sort of reality inversion only someone who rejects truth itself could buy.

It was a terrible week, one that inspired some truly awful takes. The worst was the effort by Bari Weiss and The Free Press to smear universities as "the biggest culprits" to blame American political violence, with faculty training "jihadis."

In the spirit of this great oped, journalists (inc. Goldberg) must recognize that one of Trump’s patterns is:

1. Do something wildly illegal
2. Identify the name of a law
3. Proceed to ignore every limit in that law

The pattern is tricking papers into writing “Trump is invoking a rarely used law.”

Trump’s immigration actions are a classic bait & switch. He campaigned on deporting violent criminals. Instead, he’s deporting moms with their (sometimes American citizen) kids, good neighbors & hard workers; people who pay taxes & provide the labor we need.
