I know there's no bottom level to Australia's media but also seeing Pauline Hanson elevated to Expert Commentator status is fucking shocking considering

SHE WAS RECORDED CLAIMING AUSTRALIA'S WORST MASS SHOOTING WAS A FALSE FLAG OPERATION

Immediately memory-holed. Like it never happened.

I unfortunately cannot give blood* but please give if you can.

*Fun fact: people with ME/CFS cannot give blood in Australia.
Donating blood is an incredibly important way that so many people can help in the aftermath of a mass casualty event, as these frequently strain bloodbank reserves.

Australians can begin donation through the Red Cross Lifeblood service or by calling 13 14 95.

We are horrified and shaken in the wake of the mass shooting at a Chanukah event in Bondi this evening, which has left at least ten people dead and injured many more.

This is the first night of Chanukah when we gather with loved ones and friends to light the Chanukiah. 1/4

Imagine if we put equivalent restrictions and applied the same scrutiny to, say, mining subsidies as we did to Centrelink payments.

Politicians, charities, and advocacy orgs really need to make a point of moderating their comments sections whenever they post about trans issues, because they always immediately become a torrent of the most vile, awful effluence you've ever seen.

Nearly 40% of newly minted billionaires this year received their wealth through inheritance.

This is the highest figure since UBS started releasing its annual billionaire wealth report in 2015.

Another reminder that the myth of the "self-made" billionaire is just that, a myth.

There is a direct correlation between how fake your job is and how much value you see in AI
A study by Dayforce shows 87% of executives use AI for work, compared to 57% of managers and just 27% of employees.

I think this explains the massive disconnect we see in how CEOs talk about AI versus everyone else. It also raises the question of how useful it truly is for frontline work?
Execs are embracing AI more than their employees are, new research suggests
Research from HR software company Dayforce suggests that executives are leaning into AI far more than their employees.

One regular thing I see from supporters of the U16 social media ban is that they somehow think it will stop children accessing porn.

While I do think access to pornography is a real problem for teens, we all realise this social media ban will do nothing to address that, right?
