HUGE NEWS: dad is officially Allowing Dogs On The Sofa!
abeewords.bsky.social
Dad was out today so the fun substitute teacher was in charge (nobody tell dad Brig was allowed on the sofa)
In the foreground a lemon roan cocker spaniel lounges on her back on the sofa; in the background a fox terrier puppy snoozes in a sunbeam on the floor

POV: you've committed the perfect crime, disposed of the weapon and and hidden the body, but now you arrive back at your pasture to find you are well and truly fucked.
Detective Columbo stands behind a wooden table with two irregular cow tools in it. He holds a 3rd cow tool and looks at it with his other hand scratching his head. He says, "Gee these tools are really something, aren't they? Y'know, my wife, she says they lack sophistication. But I just think that adds to the charm... Say... Don't they usually come in a set of four?"

Caption below the panel reads, "Cowlumbo tools."

The rikishi are taking-in the town and doing what we all do when in London.
Seeing the sights, admiring the parks, shopping on High Street, taking tea at Fortnum's, using the olde phonebox, eating Chinese, and having a terrific time.

People are always rightly pointing out that Warhammer contributes more to the British economy than the fishing industry, but the problem is that there just aren't very many folk songs about Warhammer

Real opening paragraph in an Official Nintendo Magazine feature

"I once punched my younger brother so hard in the chest that he vomited up that morning's breakfast - cornflakes mainly. It wasn't technically the Heimlich manoevre, as he wasn't choking and I wasn't trying to save him-"

As someone who works with satellite and 3D imagery, this project reinforced how crucial it is to question what’s rendered as truth.

Keep an eye out for some follow ups in different mediums looking ahead

The other thing that is notable about this is that the moment he received pushback, Piers just collapses into a sputtering mess.

This class of 'pundit' has become so used to going unchallenged that they literally don't know how to deal with it. Embarrassing it took so long for this to be exposed.

I’m turning off replies to this because I refuse to have my Saturday night be full of Americans telling me I’m wrong about this in a deeply serious tone.

Did manage to celebrate bookshop day, by the way. I went to The White Horse, which also sells art supplies and has a gallery. I’ve been getting books there since I was little - think it’s been there since about 1950. #bookshopday
The front of The White Horse Bookshop, a higgledy piggledy boom shop in an old building Paperback copies of Roman Farrow’s War on Peace and LM Chilton’s Everyone In The Group Chat Dies.

And it still holds true even when applied to that. I think if Brendan had been in the reboot, there's a chance the Dark Universe might actually have happened

Theory: you can put Brendan Fraser in any Tom Cruise role and it would improve the film; you cannot put Tom Cruise in any Brendan Fraser role without it making the film worse
