I hadn't given much thought to the actual philosophy behind the "empathy is bad, actually" movement, because the people espousing it are so transparently anti-human that I never thought of it as having more depth than wolves having the philosophy "Sheep are tasty".

Winter makes me miss freelancing so badly. I want to be able to work at a slower pace and a schedule that fits the time of year better but unfortunately 9-6 (except for today which is 11-8) full time job.

After reading Clockwork Boys by T. Kingfisher, which felt a bit like a D&D campaign of a book in the best way, I started plotting Fox Eyes a bit like a D&D campaign. And honestly? Best decision I've made. I LOVE quest stories but I struggle with making the travel interesting. This has helped a lot.
