We were at Costco and an SUV started backing up as I was behind it. I slapped the rear of the car to get their attention so they didn't hit me. The driver got out and yelled at me for "hurting her car". My friend, that slap didn't hurt your car but if you had hit me the lawsuit would sure hurt you.

Are there hearing tests for dogs? I'm wondering if it's not cognitive decline I'm seeing but something going on with Gauge's hearing. Either one is going to be a challenge, but doable. I'm just curious how we determine hearing loss in senior dogs.

Today I helped out at the elementary school holiday party (where I do ICE patrol.) I learned from Miss Lauren, my teacher contact, that 40% of their students are in transitional housing. School gives out coats, boots. And now I have a LIST of add'l needs: hats, mittens/gloves, books, printer paper.

the birthright clause was not just written to wipe dred scott off of the books, it was written to repudiate the *idea* behind dred scott, you might say the larger *ideological project* of dred scott. and the whole of section 1 of the 14th amendment is a constitutional statement of political equality

Today, on the 36th anniversary of the attack at École Polytechnique in Montreal, I am reflecting on the violent and brutal murders of 14 women whose lives were taken in a horrific act of femicide.
