Consistent regular reminder that empathy for your fellow human being is a huge act of resistance. Care about people beyond just your friends and family. Care about strangers you've never met. Show them daily kindness. Remind everyone that suspicion and hosility should not be the baseline.

I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

This is (one reason) why I’m against generative AI, period. Instead of being able to inherently look at any type of media with joy or trust, I now always have to be vigilant about its authenticity and ethics. Every video, every doodle, every photograph is suspicious. It’s exhausting.
Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

Technically speaking, if you wanna have a natural sleep rhythm, you go to bed at sundown , sleep a little, wake up around 11am, then go back to sleep around 1am, and then wake up for the next day when the sun rises. This is how people slept before the advent of electricity.
Also, it's a stupid af argument, but your "natural rhythms" should 100% have you up BEFORE 7 a.m., not after. The healthy adult human body is programmed in its most natural state to align almost perfectly with the rising of the sun, which means waking up somewhere around 5 to 6, not after!

haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”
