This is a case of user error. All Teslas have a manual door release for use in an emergency that’s in the owners manual (page 562 of the PDF). You just pull up the carpet, yank the ripcord, cut the green wire, chant “Om mani padme elon,” dance in a circle under a full moon, and send 37 Dogecoin.

Almost every “successful” AI use case involves knocking the first rungs out of a career ladder, but those are the very positions our students desperately need to become acculturated into the professional spaces that will eventually require experienced professionals to replace the current cohort.

A lot of people know about the Germans in the space program, but the more relevant engineer might be Qian Xuesen, the MIT/CalTech aerospace professor who co-founded JPL and was sent to recruit the Germans.
We deported him the 1950s. He became the leader of China’s missile program.

Honestly my favorite part about people who defend AI inaccuracy and hallucination is thinking that something like 15% is acceptable. Imagine if Excel calculated formulas incorrectly 15% of the time but you didn’t know which ones were wrong
