This is a doubly bad sign about the havoc that appointees like Patel, Hegseth, and Vought could wreak. We were told Wiles was going to discipline and organize the second term Trump operation. Instead it's just maniacs running wild while grandpa signs things and watches television.
I think this is true, but there's an important extension here: Trump doesn't care what Elon is doing.

This makes ZERO sense. Sovereign wealth funds exist to invest a nation’s foreign currency holdings from running trade surpluses. The U.S. has a net negative foreign reserve balance, with U.S. dollars held abroad, as a function of its reserve currency status.
