This is why we keep saying: keep filming ICE.

Recording law enforcement in public is completely legal as long as you are not obstructing.

As a career public defender, I can tell you: video evidence matters. Footage from today is likely to become central evidence in the prosecution of the agent.

I was a teen in the 90s. Born in Aus to Irish immigrant family. Strong trade unionists & all politically conscious even if not formally educated. Aus seems so wilfully ignorant and apathetic now. I do try to resist the negative skew & find the good bits...but it's getting more difficult!

Several parts of Australia are likely to face the worst heatwaves since the 2019/2020 bushfires.

Volunteers and underpaid frontline workers will step up to help communities.

Meanwhile, in just one year, the Australian government gave $14.9 billion in subsidies to fossil fuel producers and users.

One of my resolutions last year was to spend less time doomscrolling--especially before bed--and more time making things that bring me joy.

2025 didn't make it easy, but I managed to stick to it, finishing six big embroidery projects along with a seventh one I wrapped up this week.

Sincere question and I hope we can make a safe place for this discussion, are there people out there who feel like they don't know how to get involved and make a difference?

What do you feel like the barriers are for you getting involved in organizing?

Have you tried and failed?

I hope it helps your transition off US tech!
Silicon Valley’s alliance with Donald Trump was a mask off moment and showed the world we can’t depend on US tech companies.

For the past few months, I’ve been trying to get off US tech and I put together a guide so you find alternatives too. I hope you find it helpful!
Getting off US tech: a guide
I’m in the process of dropping US tech services. Here’s how I did it, and options you should consider.

I said this to a friend yesterday and will repeat it here. A lot of people are going to be hyper-focused on elections this year but if that's not your ministry, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HYPER-FOCUS there. There's so much other organizing work to do. You can focus your energies and attention there.
