I could probably talk at length about how DRM and AI are the same scam, presented as inevitable by the tech industry while being entirely unfit for purpose.
DRM made me very mad when I was a tech editor, but at least it wasn't a plagiarism lie machine that cause people to kill themselves.

Important point here by Kelsey. Almost every day I see engineers propose tools backed by AI that require precision. AI agents are anything but precise.
One day the industry will recognize the drawbacks of AI agents and nondeterministic automation, and rediscover the UNIX philosophy of chaining together small purpose built tools in a low cost and predictable way, otherwise known as shell scripts.

He’s going to try and demolish it and build some gold plated monument to his failure in its place. I hope people are getting ready to file lawsuits this moment.

When Republicans refer to "criminal illegal aliens," they mean everyone who is here on an asylum claim is a criminal. Latino voters who flipped to Trump in 2024 didn't quite get that. They do now. Also, many of the “criminal records” are for things like driving with no license & other misdemeanors.
