I don't want to dunk, and I don't want to argue.

I was just surprised at the idea that Dr. Phil HAD thousands of employees. That... that's a lot of employees for an operation around one guy.

In the actual article, the fired employees number in the dozens.

The skeet accompanying it, by Khashoggi's Ghost, says:

They're obviously lying about the science.

That said, they stumble into a kinda true statement:

Those penises aren't made for women. They're made for men. Because trans men are men.

Likewise, those vaginas aren't made for men. They're made for women. Because trans women are women.

This was the least effort pasta. I used a bought sauce, which I put in the cooker with water and the pasta, hit the "rice/pasta" setting and played baldur's gate 3 for a while until I remembered about it, by which time is was in an automatic "keep warm" state.

AI is presented as a race against time. Problem is, it's rigged.

The pitch is "once it reaches a certain level, it will fix the problems it creates and also all other problems."

The rigged part is that there is zero evidence that LLMs are a path to something that could DO THAT.

It's a scam.

The veneration of Books As Objects misses the point entirely. If you're reading a book, turn the corners down, break the spine, spill soup on it. It's your book, go nuts. A pristine, unread book is a tragedy in a way that a beloved, much-read book that looks like the dog's been at it could never be.
