If we could just take a fucking breath and admit "our kids are people, we don't get to decide who they are," and stop using "BUT THE CHILDREN" as a reason to attack trans people, and autistic people, and whoever else we've decided not to like, that would be cool.

The president is a political cartoon of corruption come to life, a gaudy grifter who is selling off pardons and lining his pockets, building a golden ballroom and protecting his fellow sex predator elites, all the while regular Americans are suffering and struggling to make ends meet.

Run on *that*

If writing is so easy why do people argue that they can’t do it without the pablumatic verbiage extruder

And if it’s so difficult then why do people think it’s not labour and writers are not workers

I saw the Michigan plate "O FACE" this morning and laughed myself to tears. Truly regret not getting a pic at a stoplight.

If RFK Jr gets his way & countries ban thimerosal-containing vaccines, ~150 million children every year will lose access to life-saving medicines.

It’s time for everyone to recognize that he is a global health threat & a travesty to America.

Read my latest:

Thimerosal Is Not Mercury. RFK Jr. Still Refuses to Learn Basic Chemistry.
RFK Jr’s Minamata Convention video weaponizes ignorance, ignores basic chemistry, and will cause millions of vaccine-preventable deaths globally.

I really think the Internet has robbed us of the most important piece of social feedback we get, which is watching the horror on someone's face as you say something stupid to them.

Letting this kind of rot take hold in cops is why we are standing here today.

“Condé was content to hold Teen Vogue up as a prop for diversity, youth representation and progressive ideals when it benefited it, and then to unceremoniously discard the entire publication”

a sad, too-fucking-familiar story

ICE/CBP is active in Lincoln Park right now, has been spotted near Damen/Clybourn at Costco + Jewel (this is in addition to a morning abduction reported at Costco earlier).

People believe grocery delivery drivers are being targeted and are asking folks to alert other vulnerable workers as well.

That a federal judge had to block the Trump administration from pushing millions of Americans into hunger says everything about this President and the party he leads.

Grateful to our Attorney General for being on the frontlines of this fight.
In a major victory, a court ruled the Trump administration must use emergency funds to provide food stamps to Americans.

No one should choose between paying bills and buying groceries.

We'll continue our lawsuit to fight for our families and the services they deserve.

People should use their SNAP benefits for whatever they think they need. Both because any effort you make to micromanage purchases is inefficient and cumbersome and because people who need help aren’t obligated to perform for or satisfy others in order to eat.

There’s no such thing as the “genuinely disabled”

Disability is dynamic

Some disabilities are invisible. Some change day to day

You won’t always know a person is disabled unless they tell you

It’s a minority group you can join at any time, not a moral failing.

7 things every child needs to hear:

1. I love you.

2. I am proud of you.

3. I am sorry.

4. I forgive you.

5. I am listening.

6. Capitalism is a tool of the upper class designed to keep the people struggling, oppressed, and docile.

7. You have what it takes.

On the one hand, good, and I sure hope that I get my money owed, and that we all do.
On the other hand, if anyone had actually, you know, ASKED ME whether they could use any of my books in this way, I would not have said "yes you can do it for $3,000." You know, for the record.

If we survive this, I hope I live long enough to find out what historians dub this period in US history.

The Great Madness has a certain ring to it.
I vaguely remember tweeting something like the country that effectively captures this free energy source at scale will rule the 21st century. whelp.
