The Editorial Board at The Daily Tarheel laying it down. If only mainstream legacy media would follow their courageous lead.
Editorial: Dear Carolina Community, the University will not protect you from ICE
"In the wake of such cowardice, Carolina students are forced to reconcile with a callous truth: UNC will not protect students and faculty from ICE, at all."

It was not a plan but a capitulation document. It did not come together. It was a Russian document presented by some Americans as American. Be clear in your headlines. Help
people see the simple awfulness of things.
President Trump's proposal to end the war in Ukraine heavily favored Russia in its initial form and included demand that Kyiv has consistently rejected. Here's how the plan came together.

Listen to "The Daily."

Well, it’s official, as of next week one of if not the largest health care providers in NC - UNC Health Care - no longer accepts my insurance. I guess I have to find a new primary care physician and specialists to work with from an obviously limited/shrinking pool. Excellent news!!

Israel is not “testing” the cease fire, they are blatantly breaking the ceasefire because they know that there will be no repercussions from the rest of the world. Just more arms and money arriving daily, while they continue to murder civilians. Nothing has changed.

I never would have imagined that I would live to see the United States as a puppet state to Russia. Fucking ridiculous.

“The Department of Homeland Security said more than 370 people had been arrested in the operation. Forty-four of the people had criminal records.”

So wait a sec: More than 326 - 88% of those arrested - did NOT have criminal records.
Federal Border Patrol agents have left Charlotte, North Carolina, local officials said on Thursday, ending a brief operation that had expanded the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.
Border Patrol Ends Operation in Charlotte, N.C.
The operation, which led to more than 370 arrests, had put a purple state firmly at the center of one of the Trump administration’s most visible immigration strategies.

Thank you to the hundreds of North Carolinians who have volunteered to help protect the immigrant members of our communities during the past week. Whatever tomorrow brings, let's continue to show up for our neighbors, look out for each other, and stand together. #nc #ncpol

As of today, North Carolina is the only state in the country without a budget.

The General Assembly needs to come back to Raleigh next week to fully fund Medicaid and then pass a budget that meaningfully invests in our people and our state.

I have rarely been more confused, disappointed, and distraught that I was in November of 1985 when I first dropped the needle onto my vinyl copy of "Cut The Crap" by The Clash. Oh boy, it was BAD. Rob Sheffield does a good job of telling the tale here...

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

I'm so glad to see people waking up to the reality of the Dems that helped enable this current national meltdown in so many ways.

I would like apologies from every blue waver that yelled at me in the last decade for being insufficiently loyal to a party that wants me to stay silent and powerless.
