What baffles me is how American distilleries seem to think their product is at all valuable internationally. There's no cocktail that *requires* American-made gin, rum, vodka, tequila, whiskey, etc. They're completely replaceable, and have been. 👋

A group of U.S. alcohol producers claims Canadian retailers are giving unfair advantage to local spirits, including what it calls “discriminatory” markups in Nova Scotia and other provinces.

Should be stated that Russia's first Soviet nuclear doctrine took into account this type of scenario... although, if the state collapses then it would become a bit of a free for all...
this is a country of one billion people, many of whom have fringe views.
In China, they are openly stating that Russia will collapse, and they need to seize at least a third of its territory.

“China should prepare for the worst: if Russia collapses, this territory of 7 million km² cannot be lost”, - such an article was published on the popular Chinese resource NetEase

Someone sent me a link to the Twitter version of Eric's post, and the comments perfectly illustrate why I'm against the idea. The most vocal support comes from the biggest angriest idiots on the biggest angry idiot platform. And those are the people who'd be signing up to conduct these ops.
Gotta say, I think Marcus makes an interesting point.

Huh!

TIL Pu-238 was first plutonium isotope discovered!

Seaborg bombarded U-238 w/energetic (15MeV) deuterons making Np-238 that beta decayed to Pu238.

hydrogen isotopes (all 1 proton)
protium 0 neutrons
deuterium 1 neutron
tritium 2 neutrons (radioactive)

deuteron= deuterium nucleus

Watching my favourite film (along with Black Swan) on it's 34th anniversary of release: Star Trek VI.

I adore this film, with its super timely Cold War analogy, and professional and slick aesthetics. And I think Admiral Cartwright is my favourite Trek villain.
