Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

As someone just months younger than Nigel Farage, I can say that not only is it untrue that ‘all’ schoolboys were obsessed with Hitler, but *none* of my cohort were. None. Nada. Zilch.
So we've gone from "he never said anything Nazi" to "well he might have said something Nazi but not in a hurtful way" to "well okay he probably did say something Nazi in a hurtful way, but didn't we all?"

I visited Bergen-Belsen as a 10 year old child, an experience that still stays with me five decades later.
I can say with 110% certainty that I was never obsessed with Hitler.
