The nice thing about my kid having a CD player is that when he expresses an interest in Limp Bizkit I know what to get him for Christmas

It's bin day tomorrow and the council web page that tells us what bin it is is cloudfared to fuck and I am the only person on the street who has it screengrabbed and this is the closest I'll ever get to being a Robert Harris hero with the secret knowledge that could save us all

When you think 'I should probably post more from my sketchbook' and then you look at the sketchbook and realise that since you got a dog two years ago your brain has turned into 90% dog

This is very niche but for fans of the old 'Ath-leeesure' Diet Coke ad: I've just learned from @jonsanger.bsky.social that there is another ad with similarly insane person in it and at the point where he does the 'soopergood' can-raise: IT'S AT THE WOMAN FROM THE OTHER AD DOING SOOPERHARD

This is awful news. Rachel was an absolute champion for graphic novels in the mainstream media. She was the *only* champion really. I was lucky to meet her a few times and as well as being a great writer she was also just a really lovely person to chat to. Thoughts v much with her family & friends
“In all of this, of course, she was a newspaper’s dream."

Remembering Rachel Cooke (1969-2025). The Observer journalist was the heart and soul of the paper for 25 years. She leaves an extraordinary legacy.

Truly no advert has ever stuck in my mind like this one. Every moment of it has popped up again and again in my mind for seven years now. Now and again I post it in the hope that sharing will act as some kind of purgative. It never does.
