2025 was probably one of the worst years i've ever gotten through so the bar is low for 2026. if i survive it will be an accomplishment worth celebrating at this point. the extra unrealistic goal is finish a first draft of this story (that i havent touched since the 'new thing' shine wore off ;_;)

Larian's horrible hirring process is an open secret in the industry – insane amounts of unpaid work in "writing tests", excessive numbers of interviews, months and months of back and forth, etc. Everyone in games narrative circles has heard the stories at this point, probably from multiple people.
I know this because they tried to recruit me and I strongly considered it but they’re also a “do an unpaid writing test where you have to also make it playable” company so that’s not something I vibe with

brain has been floating in the rot zone lately but i *did* find out the reason i was feeling so unwell and dizzy & almost passing out was the increased bupropion dosage so i am so much better back at 150. the adjusting down has been rough on my mood but i'm so happy to not feel like i'm dying 🥲

work on the WIP slowed pretty significantly but i've still had a regular trickle of progress which is making me cautiously optimistic it wasn't just another temporary hyperfixation i immediately beat the dopamine out of and will immediately drop
