The Boston Globe on the strange case of the mother of Ms Leavitt’s nephew being deported. Apparently, from the quote below, his father — Ms Leavitt’s brother — wants her gone.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
‘Brazil is not her home.’ Mother of Karoline Leavitt’s nephew, brought to US as child, detained by ICE. - The Boston Globe
Bruna Ferreira, 33, was brought to the United States as a child in 1998. She is now in removal proceedings in Louisiana.

Interviewer: “What do you say to trans kids who are starting their transition?”

Zohran Mamdani: "We're gonna make this a city that doesn't just protect trans kids, but also celebrates and cherishes them."

There is nothing I detest more than people coopting social justice language and therapy speak to justify being harmful or jerks or harmful jerks.

Pay the writers, good god
Just saw someone claim that authors who want to be paid for their work are "class traitors" because we "only let the wealthy" read our books, and I think I need to go into the woods to scream into the night for a bit.

It's $5, not your first-born child! I need that $5 for health insurance!

The stories that will be told in the future about how the East Wing was torn down and rebuilt a third time are going to defy believability…

“Trump TORE IT DOWN AND LEFT IT AS A CONSTRUCTION SITE?!”

The REDCOATS were more respectful.
A million years ago I sold home improvements door to door. Unscrupulous contractors would “spike” a job, meaning they would start a little work at a property, and then go away for a month. That’s what Trump is doing with the East Wing.

Netflix is recommending me various movies “for Sagittarians”. Annoying for two reasons: using astrology as a basis for movie preferences; thinking I’m a Sagittarius for some unknown reason.

Seen multiple accounts decrying hot takes on Thanksgiving foods.

Not seen a single hot take on Thanksgiving foods.

My feed must be well-tuned.

MORE: The local crew foreman on the NASHVILLE tunnel dig says Elon’s Boring Company has been wildly late on pay, and has been trying to hire his guys behind his back.

He also says despite what Steve Davis said about safety, the situation is dangerous.

WOWWWWW— that didn’t take long: “Crews walk out on on Nashville tunnel, claiming Musk’s Boring Company Failed to Pay Workers and Snubbed OSHA concerns”

As we suspected, that absurd not-a-town-hall with Steve Davis aged like guacamole 🥑 nashvillebanner.com/2025/11/25/b...

Just when I thought they’d hit rock bottom in being stupid and evil…
Senate Republicans are going after basic vehicle-safety mandates, like automatic brakes and child safety alarms.

They claim that these safety protocols are the real reason for the car affordability crisis.

The solution they're proposing instead is autonomous vehicles.
