No one's life should be at risk for simply existing in their communities or exercising their rights.

Learn these. Remember them. Share them with your neighbors.

I will continue to use every tool my office has to protect our immigrant community and ensure our residents know their rights.

Friends, Claudette Colvin—the 15-year-old who refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus in March 1955 & joined the federal case against bus segregation that went to the Supreme Court — died today at age 86. But there are lots of myths and mis-impressions about her. A short corrective thread:

WSJ investigation: In the past 6 months ICE agents have fired at vehicles 13 times, leading to:

* 8 people shot

* no victims drew a weapon

The playbook: Agents box in a vehicle, block attempts to flee, then fire

Huge respect @goodlawproject.org 🙌🏻

Please keep me updated so I can share info to provide support for those affected. I am happy to spread the word and help in any way that I can.

Thousands of sexual violations per second last time I looked. Many children. The requests? All completely anonymous.
Just learning from @supertanskiiii.bsky.social (on Insta) about the scale of image based abuse taking place on X.com (and elsewhere). We have been working with a leading specialist org to bring legal action for victims. But I also want all men who care about women to call this out as unacceptable.

Good morning to readers; Kyiv remains in Ukrainian hands.

Me and Tania spent Christmas with the Khartiia brigade.

One soldier, Gumi, yearns for his wife’s kutia—a holiday dish he’s missing while serving just half an hour from home. His wife’s special secret: a touch of rice.
The little things that keep them going
We visited the troops of the Khartiia Brigade on Christmas Eve and found, as the Ukrainians say, it is a sin to complain.
