While the Trump Administration continues to weaponize the National Guard to provoke disorder, silence dissent, and instill fear, we’re fighting back.

I’m teaming up with Dem AGs and governors across the country to support a challenge in court against this unlawful deployment in Illinois.

This National Banned Book Week, we’re celebrating the freedom to read stories that reflect the diverse communities that make up our country.

You can try to ban books, but you can't ban ideas - enjoy some of my personal recommendations.

Let’s call this what it is: the President of the United States directing federal prosecution for his personal political agenda.

I stand with AG James — as we all should, for the sake of our democracy.

This is nothing more than a continuation of the president’s desperate weaponization of our justice system.

I am not fearful — I am fearless.

We will fight these baseless charges aggressively, and my office will continue to fiercely protect New Yorkers and their rights..

Censorship is an attempt to rewrite history - to erase culture, context, and voices.

This Banned Book Week, this is your reminder that Massachusetts will always fight to protect freedom of speech and expression.

The President does not have the authority to arbitrarily and categorically shut down lawful programs simply because he dislikes them.

I'm teaming up with Dem AGs to support a challenge to Trump's executive orders that unlawfully target our trans community and DEIA initiatives.

We won a preliminary injunction to stop two waste management companies from illegally dumping sewage into the Blackstone wetlands.

My office will keep working to protect our environment from bad actors.

NEW: I'm teaming up with Dem AGs and Govs across the country to file a court brief supporting Oregon's challenge against Trump's deployment of the National Guard to their state.

The President is responsible for provoking fear and chaos - we must push back against this reckless abuse of power.

The Trump administration’s attempt to bully states into complying with its cruel immigration policies won’t work.

My office will continue to hold this Administration accountable and defend our residents.

This ruling affirms what we have long known to be true: Birthright citizenship is a constitutional right, and the President does not have the authority to take it away.

I am confident as this case continues through the courts that this blatantly unconstitutional order will never take effect.

While Donald Trump has been busy shutting down the federal government, we've been busy in court stopping the DOJ from imposing illegal restrictions on nearly $1.4 billion in VOCA grants.

We will keep fighting to protect the funding that helps survivors and victims of crimes rebuild their lives.

Massachusetts thrives because of the perspectives and talents international students bring to our Commonwealth.

DHS's proposed restrictions on student visas will hurt our economy, industries, and communities. Earlier this week, I joined my fellow AGs to push back against this reckless move.
A beige graphic with an image depicting a passport and visa with a map of the United States of America in the background is at the bottom of the page. Title text in red reads "Here's what limiting student visas means for Massachusetts:" Five bullet points under which read, "- Approx. $3.9 billion in revenue stripped from MA economy
- Losing thousands of local jobs - from universities to biotech startups
- Jeopardizing the enrollment of some 82,000 students in MA, which is the fourth largest international student body in the country
- Loss of innovation and international talent across industries
- Could lead to a rise in tuition for American students"

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Senator Ed Kennedy, a Lowell native and dedicated public servant whose passion and dedication made Massachusetts a better place for every resident across the Commonwealth.

My condolences and prayers are with his wife and family.

The federal government may be shut down, but this office is still hard at work.

The Trump Administration is attempting to put unlawful conditions on funding that supports survivors of domestic abuse and other violent crimes in the name of their inhumane immigration enforcement.

We're suing.
A blue and yellow graphic with a photo of the back of two women, the woman on the right is presumably consoling the other with her hand on the shoulder. Title text on the graphic reads "We're Suing the U.S. Department of Justice for blocking funding for grants that support survivors of domestic violence and other violent crimes" A graphic with a blue and white gradient, "The Trump Administration’s attempt to block states from using Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant funds to provide services to undocumented immigrants would only cause additional harms to individuals who are already suffering from the unimaginable.

For decades, the VOCA and VAWA grant programs have enabled states to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other violent crimes. The grants fund services such as legal representation in family court, relocation and housing assistance, compensation for medical bills and funeral costs, and other civil legal services."

Last week, I joined Elliot Williams on SiriusXM to talk about the Trump Administration’s cruel immigration policies.

While this White House continues to stoke fear in our communities, my office will keep working to protect the rights of every resident, regardless of their immigration status.

Donald Trump’s shutdown is putting paychecks, benefits, and essential services at risk.
A navy graphic with title text at the top that reads "AG Campbell's Statement on the Federal Government’s Shutdown" below is a quote from Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell that reads "Massachusetts residents are already grappling with high costs, and now their paychecks, benefits, and essential services are being put at even greater risk by dysfunction in Trump’s Washington. Our families, communities, and economy will now face even more needless instability. My office is monitoring the impacts of this shutdown and will do everything we can to support our residents.”
