Hochul is slightly more woke than Gavin Newsom

Which is to say not at all
I went to the DNC last year and Kathy Hochul got only golf claps when she spoke. Pelosi trashed her. But ever since she's gone Dark Kathy Wochul, her approval has spiked when you look at polling.
Governor Hochul on Elise Stefanik doubling down on her claims that Mamdani is a “jihadist.”

Liberals are constantly projecting their insecurities onto everyone else. Under my direction, the Department of War is going to do something about that with Operation Straight and Sober.

The Washington Post Editorial Board is literally praising Trump's pseudoscientific "review" which deadnames trans people and which was constructed by numerous hate group talking heads as being good science.

God how far it has fallen.

1) this is hugely unethical (hence why rcv are often not used). It would be unethical to do RCV on say vaccines for instance because you’d be harming the control group. RCV harms the trans kids denied puberty blockers….although they are already harming all trans kids in the uk so ethics already gone
This AM, Ryan posted: "The long-awaited UK puberty blocker clinical trial protocol is out. It will be a randomized controlled trial comparing immediate vs delayed-by-one-year start of puberty blockers among 226 gender-incongruent youth." This was accompanied by what looks like a screenshot of a doc:

I’m shocked Trump knows what the New Deal is tbh
Apparently yes

Trump also just posted these photos to Truth Social, including the one with Mamdani standing next to a portrait of FDR. Trump mentioned Mamdani asked if he could have his picture taken there.

"It's an amazing portrait in the cabinet room," Trump said. "So he's a big fan of the New Deal, I guess..."

This caught my eye. Adopting any far right policy, makes a party far right. That’s it. There’s a saying about if 11 ppl sit down for dinner with a Nazi, then there are 12 Nazis. This idea you can pick up far right policies & not be far right is such a denial of history & fact.

Literally so insane that the UK Supreme Court would say that the Equality Act don’t include trans people and required our exclusion when Goodwin was already litigated and was what required things like GRCs. Ntm the actual people who wrote it said it was meant to include trans people.
This submission details how the case has exposed the UK's non-compliance with the judgment made in the European Court of Human rights case of Goodwin v. UK (2002). This non-compliance did not begin in April 2025. The Supreme Court has made clear

What is wrong with democrats why do they want to be such losers. Way too old.
Janet Mills's campaign account just posted this video of her saying that she just announced her campaign against Susan Collins. #MESen. Mills, 77, is expected to jump in the race against Collins. She would face Graham Platner, Jordan Wood and Dan Kleban.

Half of the Democrats voted in favor, including transgender representative Sarah McBride.

Basically what’s going on rn in the US. Trump is taking control of the Fed, the FCC, NLRB, and the DOE and weaponizing them to control every one of these. All with the Supreme Courts blessing and a stamp of approval from Republican Congress letting him take their power.

A lot of cis people cant or choose to not recognize that trans people are victims of sexual harassment because they view us as inherently sexual and up for scrutiny in ways they would not dare(publicly) do with cis people.
I would be happy if I never heard the name Graham Linehan again, but I do feel the need to comment, because the nature of a lot of the abuse trans people receive is straight up sexual harassment, but is not recognized as such because the victim is trans.

What Glinner is doing is sexual harassment.
Just for a second, take a step back, and remember that these are the actions of a 56 year old man towards a 17 year old girl.

“I’m a first amendment defender” man says about…another country which doesn’t allow incitement of violence.

One he’s never commented on before and certainly didn’t need to now.
Ro Khanna stood by his tweet opposing Glinner’s arrest in a statement to EITM just now:

“While I condemn unequivocally the tweets themselves, I have always been a staunch First Amendment defender. I stand unapologetically for LGBTQ and trans rights and also for free speech,” said Rep. Khanna.

Rep. Khanna called the arrest "an offense to anyone who supports free speech" on twitter.

@khanna.house.gov wtf. Your defending a man who incited violence against trans women calling to assault in bathrooms as “free speech”? It’s illegal in the UK to incite violence and has been for 40 years and you’ve never had any issue with all the other people prosecuted for it.

Texas is the biggest state in the country to have a bathroom ban on the books, and aside from local news and a few national nonprofits, the coverage of it is pretty small. There are over 160,000 trans adults in the state of Texas
Actually wild that the Texas legislature banned trans people from bathrooms in government buildings yesterday and it hasn’t gotten a whiff of news coverage in the Associated Press, NYT, WaPo, etc

I guess the national news biz is just shrugging at this stuff now?
