The thing about Hitler's rise to power is that we have known how it was done for a long time and that the constitutions of other western democracies are vulnerable to the same methods, but nothing at all has been done to raise our defences. Why ?

FML - this fawning before the over-sensitive king is embarrassing for the world.

Many countries have fought revolutions (and in the UK a civil war) against monarchs & tyrants in order to get away from this ridiculous kind of self-abasement before egos of foolish leaders.

Listening to this right now. (Thanks to the man whose Spotify listening age is 20 🤣). Really enjoying it too.

If you need to understand what's happening, this farce is a perfect place to begin.

A broken, unhappy man is being given a fake award he doesn't deserve by a corrupt group looking to bribe him and earn favors. It's meaningless, everything he wants, and it won't matter to him within an hour.

JD Vance Munich Speech has become the Vance Doctrine.

Actionable policy which includes and prescribes direct interference into EU democratic processes by supporting far right and Eurosceptic parties.

If this is not the final wake up call Europe, I don't know what is.

Apparently my husband's Spotify listening age is 20. 42 years younger than his actual age. I thought it would be low as he really enjoys listening to new music especially on his commute, but not that low as we do listen to to some old music too 🤣

'former US President Donald Trump'. Optimistic. (Also the appearance is very funny and worth a watch).
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, made light-hearted remarks about former US President Donald Trump during an unexpected appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

It's amazing how many times, when we find out about yet another political type having links to Vladimir Putin, the wide mouthed frog is always close by. If he is not careful people might start thinking he, himself, is working for Putin. Surely not 😂

A very eloquent Clive Lewis MP highlighting that water & energy companies are charging us high prices not for infrastructure investment but to make profit.
The Reform has dropped the act, openly Thatcherite. The Conservatives are copying them to save their skins. The best way to cut support for the authoritarian right is to stand with people against profiteers in water and energy, and give real security.

As far as I can see, this nat sec strategy is far harsher on Europe than on Russia. There is no mention of a threat from Russia or of deterrence, only that "re-establishing strategic stability" is a priority. Europe is cast as a major threat to freedom. A radical, dangerous document.
