Not a member - but I would point out the logical flaws in your post....

1 The failure or not of person B (in office) does not lead to the assessment of Person A (never got there) requiring a revisit

2 Corbyn lost 2 GEs, and is messing up starting a new party - in what way is he not a "loser

We have precedents for nations steeped in evil that are then redeemed in recent history..... they all involved military defeat and the acceptance of the need for national repentence

Even if the killing and cruel & contemptuous treatment of Palestinians ends; even if "settlers" cease to take by force land on the West Bank; even if the evil Netanyahu is convicted for corruption in Israel, or stands trial in the Hague with his co-conspirators for war crimes.....
Eurovision organisers postpone vote on Israel's inclusion in contest next year
The European Broadcasting Union had previously announced it would hold a vote on Israel's participation in November.

Its all interpretation - we will see

I prefer to avoid calling BS on anything short of science - and psephological analysis is some way short of that
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
You seem highly energised to deny my interpretation - feels like denial of the possibility some people don't think like you (or me) about politics

We may find out sooner than you'd like who's nearer the truth - next May for the Senedd

Meantime I'm happy to accept other interpretations are valid
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
No surprise when living conditions for ordinary people deteriorate for a significant number of years, extremes based more on prejudice than reason or understanding become attractive to more; it happened in the 1930s

And blaming the less advantaged for one's woes is a common, if ignoble human trait
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
That is merely my interpretation - but other interpretations are no more definitive
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
"look it up"?

You mean the interpretation of numbers from various polls?
There is no definitive truth in them

Local elections in S Yorkshire suggest to me significant numbers of former Labour voters in working class areas ARE moving to Reform

It really does look like Zack is taking the members Your Party was intending to capture

Another Corbyn failure....
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
Well actually I am much more often a defender of the PM than a critic. But I trust the Trump people not at all - it is quite possible this uncharacteristic generosity in sharing credit has a motivation other than simple admiration....

It would not just be utilities or direct state actors that would suffer if we confiscated water from the creditors - it would be every activity in the UK that relies on global investors
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
If the state - intentionally or not - sees a private company critically dependent on state regulators go bust, it's simply untenable the state benefits. It is called a perverse incentive and would collapse any cooperation between global investors & the UK state - it would be evidence of bad faith
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
Not it does not - the debt is secured against water assets. Whoever "owns" the assets, must also own the debt secured against them, up to the total current value of those assets
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
Progress in what? Securing a peace plan for Gaza? If the UK in general, and Powell in particular were central to that, that fact has been kept well under the radar.....
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
I rather doubt the yanks are thinking him for that now..... I have no doubt he is capable (esp compared to the execrable Trump regime) - but I do wonder what has happened that he gets this fulsome praise.....
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
You reckon? I am not at all sure you are right
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
Well it seems awkward - Powell only joined the current UK administration last December - why pick him out?
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
The impression I get from the disorganisation around "Your Party" suggests that most who flock to their banner are not helping form a coherent new party

But it looks like the Greens are benefitting most from the disillusion with Labour represented loudly on BlueSky
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
An insight.... do, in your experience, are the foot soldiers the ones leaving Labour, or are they largely paper members - or both?

Certainly they have had councillors leave, and they are not mere paper members
jacklondonbluesky.bsky.social
Mmm - not sure I'd use that analogy

In any art - including pop music - talent figures in success

But politics is the art of the possible - many slogans advocate attractive but mythical solutions (and/or are vehemently opposed by too many to be adopted)
