A lot of people come into the games industry and pretty soon develop a cynical attitude that the industry is largely run by business guys who don't know a thing about video games. It's only after a few years and some seniority that you realize that those guys don't know shit about business either.

At 13, I taught myself scripting by making a d&d engine in the map editor for starcraft.

Bonus : I also learned to save, save often, AND save to multiple files when i lost 2 days of work due to a corrupt save file. Boy, was I giddy when I learned about source control.

#deadlock is like overwatch and league/Dota had a baby but when overwatch was fresh. Mobawatch. Kek.

Seems very polished. I have had numerous crazy comebacks. Balance isn't perfect but it's fun.

5.5 added the console variable “tick.AllowBatchedTicks” which will automatically group together simple tick functions. It gives a bit of a boost to tick heavy projects but I'm keen to hear results from anyone that's enabled it and seen what happens! Anyone tinkered with 5.5 yet with info? #UETips

fellow #unrealengine devs - how do you retrieve/troubleshoot crashes experienced by players? Do you have a plugin you use for reporting crashes? What service does it leverage and how much $ does it cost?

I have atleast 1 player who reported frequent crashes in my steam reviews but i have gotten 0
