I don't know what Mr. Grunstein's health insurance situation is, but the current legislative fight is a policy fight, and a lot of us have real skin in the game! You have to be able to both articulate a vision and fight for policy -- when the rubber meets the road, they're the same damn thing.
If I were to sum up my advice to the Democratic party leadership about how to defeat Trumpism, it would be to set aside policy for now and focus instead on articulating a vision of what American society should look like and what role the US should play in a rapidly changing world today.

The Stranger Things watch will not be completed by me, a notorious completist. Good luck to these men and women in their quest to finish high school.
It Might Be the Most Popular TV Show in the World. It Keeps Getting Worse and Worse.
There’s a pretty glaring problem with Stranger Things’ final season.

Some tech type angry about ayyyy-eiii detractors is the main character today & just, what do you even want from the rest of us? You won. You have a total stranglehold on financial markets. You're eating education, publishing, the arts & the electrical grid alive. You don't get kisses on top of that.

Heh
Let’s say there’s a world populated entirely by animals. Let’s say in this world there’s a road sign for a place called “Gnu Jersey.”

If that gag makes you chuckle, then you’ll probably like Zootopia 2, becuse it’s like 35% dad jokes like that.

Critic aggregators seem to zero in on the word "flawed" for their pull-quotes, and, fairly or not, I now think of it as a lazy descriptor that doesn't inspire me to read on.

I like football, but only watch the games. I wanted to know the halftime scores today, though, so I watched the FOX halftime show for the first time all season and within 30 seconds Terry Bradshaw mangles Jaxon Smith-Njigba's name in a way you never, ever want to hear.

If you use GMail, AI (Gemini) was turned on yesterday by default and now scans all of your content for machine learning. To turn off, go to Settings>General and scroll down. Uncheck the box for "Smart features."

There's other "Smart" add-ons as well, but that's the one that reads your content.

Tripping a surveillance cam would explain the guy who slammed on his brakes from far ahead of me on I-10 east of NOLA in the middle of the night in order to harass me. I'd passed through westbound a few days prior at the same time of day. If that constitutes "suspicious pattern", that's sundown law.

Turns out I've lived near a pool hall with a 6'x12' snooker table for 20+ years and just found out. Went with my old pool playing buddies last weekend and we acquitted ourselves well among the regulars. We'd played on a 5'x10' before, but never this. It's tough, concentrating that hard wore me out!

For the last 20 years an actual job requirement to be an Olbermann producer or camera operator has been to laugh at everything he says from off-camera, a sure sign the answer to this question is no.

I do not follow Indiana state politics, so my takeaway from this is that Republicans currently control the Indiana Senate 38-10, and that somehow isn't good enough for the governor?

Matthew Rhys and Jonathan Banks have each bared their teeth in their signature mirthless smiles. Excited for the inevitable head-to-head seethe-off.
Watching The Beast in Me on Netflix. It gives me no pleasure to say I'm not sure if I can hang in there with another show dominated by Claire Danes' face acting.
