For scale: I spent eleven days in the maximum security wing of a local county lockup before a judge heard my case and moved me to min. I had one hour out of the cell a day. The cell was small. There was a speaker in the ceiling. By the end I was talking to the speaker and spending hours each day

Costco sells 908g pecan halves for about $15. Every Autumn, I use unbroken halves for an elaborate confection. The thing is, some are always broken and only 70-80% are usable for it.

So if you buy Kirkland pecans for pies, candies, etc that require perfect, unbroken halves, plan accordingly.

ARC says they’ll announce DECRA and LIEF outcomes tomorrow (Tuesday 25th Nov).

In recent times these announcements have been around 11am Canberra time. With 2 schemes on the same day, I assume they’ll announce one of them later in the day (probably DECRA first).

My favorite method would be FRET, but it's a challenging one. A somewhat easier method is Bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) analysis. Most common of the bunch is Split YFP. The S:N is VERY high and less caveats compared to FRET, but as a pair of methods together...very cool tools.
