Yesterday, California adopted a law to raise the pay received by incarcerated firefighters when they’re fighting a fire from $1 to $7.25 per hour—meeting the federal minimum wage. Four other new laws also give new rights to incarcerated firefighters.

...and I carried dozens of phone numbers in the noggin' for decades. I finally surrendered this task to a Palm Pilot in 2001. I happily also finally had a digital calendar in my hand and on my computer and didn't need to buy new calendars every year. I still take notes on paper - sends it to memory.

Lil Lemna Minor FTW! I may or may not have haphazardly "studied" lemna one summer 30+ years ago while happily living at Bodega Marine Labs. They also managed a slightly inland reserve with some cattle and an abundance of lemna. Many cottage cheese containers with varying degrees of NPK later...🌱
