when I hear people hacking on the homeless (not trying hard enough, just want drugs, freeloaders by choice, prefer to steal than to work) I wish I could explain to them how hard it is to act in your own best interest in a world that's devoted itself to enhancing your misery.

it's terminal for that one

My father (erring in the opposite direction) showed me Full Metal Jacket at about 9 years of age and honestly his was the lesser error compared to this suggestion

'when settler-colonialists love each other very much'

How does that even happen? Were we all sleeping?

I mean he's right that I do tend to belabor a point if it concerns my well-being I guess? I don't know. I'm glad to have work. The economy is bad and is going to get worse.

If you've seen them all laughing and joking together you've seen what you need to see. It's not me vs you. It's us vs them

I keep being right on the verge of a REALLY unpleasant pink slop/prion disease analogy. It manages to be too much of both.

Imagine guffawing at this with your eight year old in the room and they want to know what's funny

Today in Portland, a fed shooting pepper balls from the roof of the ICE facility was so eager to aim for people’s heads, that after shooting one photographer in the head and another in the upper arm, they accidentally shot a DHS agent in the head. This photo shows the moment of impact;
Riot cops standing a street with less-lethal weapons, and one in a gas mask has a cloud of pepper dust around his helmet.

that's in some ways worse

it's a sort of far out there science fiction novel that falls into 'horror but maybe only for me' category about a race to figure out why the end of the world, which is a lot bigger and creepier than I could envision, comes closer and closer with their every move

I'm watching my son and two other boys so one of their moms can teach a class. One of them just said 'let's jump out the window' and then they ran in the room and shut the door

so has anyone but me read sweterlisch's 'the gone world' and felt the approach of the Terminus?

bury it too deep or else let the oily dark gleam reflect off a raccoon's eye in the second chapter

you may end up having to live through it, but we're here. I'll he around on and off for the next two hours, then driving for about a half hour, minding a couple of kids for two hours, then driving the reverse back home. Feel free to @ me or DM

'damn bro. Have you tried getting hard about it?'

Lots of hugs. You are going to be okay but it doesn't feel like it and they are supposed to be HELPING, not worsening matters.

We argued a few minutes before he told me to sit down and work, about how he used to acknowledge he didn't want people working sick. His position now is that 'people can't stay home sick; I know I can't.' So he is starting to feel symptoms & setting up a permission structure to work sick.

He told me to go sit down and be productive and that 'it's the same story every day with you' so that's the last help anyone gets from this old fool today. I imagine it's tedious to have someone refuse to let you pretend you're a good person, yeah.
