Just how much do people use delivery apps daily for cooking skills to degrade this much?
my hunch is that a lot of people who don't normally cook on the regular flood the grocery store when there is bad weather approaching and they are shopping in a basically haphazard way (there were no mushrooms, for example)

I honestly believe that this would have only happen if the storming of the Capitol had gone very very differently.

i know desi americans families like this! it's extremely common to find socially conservative immigrants who weren't burned by Trump I that didn't realize Trump II was a national nightmare
There are a lot of people like this in first and second generation communities and BlueSky is often very uncomfortable acknowledging this.

In awe of the patience of this person's wife and two friends who agreed to be subjected to the exact same basic pasta and sauce dish trying out 24 different brands of canned tomatoes, three different times per brand for sake of batch variation.

A gentle reminder that poorly (if at all) sourced assertions that Democrats are about to do something only Rahm Emanuel would like are one of the quickest ways to drive engagement on social media and you should probably treat them with at least some measure of skepticism

Unfortunately, clickbait won out in the end. Every major news org is doing it since they know it works, even if it leaves people less informed about the world.
Much of news reporting is communicated exclusively through either ragebait or trolling.
I'm going to be very blunt here: headlines like this and articles like this are a significant part of our media problem because they make people believe things that aren't true

Things are happening so damn quickly these last few days but still too slowly for a social media audience clamoring for somebody to do something. It’s not actually possible to be fast enough to satisfy social media I don’t think
