Do not under any circumstances use a non-CoTCCC approved tourniquet on a GSW. CAT Gen 7s are $30-$35, readily available, and are proven to work on massive hemorrhages. 3D-printed slop that has not been approved by any regulatory body will get somebody killed.
🚨 SAVE A LIFE IN MINNEAPOLIS 🚨

1. Stop scrolling.

2. Donate $25 to DMDM to fund a tourniquet for the North Star Health Collective in Minneapolis.

3. ???

4. You've saved a community observers life.

These 3D printed designs are FDA approved and 2x cheaper than alternatives.

I know the news is bleak but at least this type of guy still exists. (The climber I should say)
He literally admitted in public he would have done it for free.

If I were his agent, I would also attempt to climb the Taipei 101. www.abc10.com/article/news...

Just how much do people use delivery apps daily for cooking skills to degrade this much?
my hunch is that a lot of people who don't normally cook on the regular flood the grocery store when there is bad weather approaching and they are shopping in a basically haphazard way (there were no mushrooms, for example)

What?
incredible work by the Forward who found the one Jew in Greenland so they could work the Jewish angle on the Greenland story

(spoiler alert: he does not want Trump to take over Greenland)
Greenland’s only Jew hears a familiar pattern in Trump’s annexation talk
Paul Cohen, Greenland’s only Jew, explains how Jewish history shapes his response to Trump’s renewed talk of annexing the island.

Explaining how things actually work is seen as condescending or rude nowadays.
It's all vibes now.

You will never guess who got mad at the guy with the WW2 hero grandpa.
I refuse to believe "cancelling somebody because his grandpa signed up to fight Hitler in a unit famously good at Hitler fighting" isn't an op.

I honestly believe that this would have only happen if the storming of the Capitol had gone very very differently.
Pelosi was lowkey right that in the balance of things it would have been for the best if Milley had just arrested Trump that day, i think that breach—while much more dramatic—would have been not severely worse than the Quiet Lockout we actually got

The diaspora is way more conservative than what most white progressives think.
i know desi americans families like this! it's extremely common to find socially conservative immigrants who weren't burned by Trump I that didn't realize Trump II was a national nightmare
There are a lot of people like this in first and second generation communities and BlueSky is often very uncomfortable acknowledging this.

My desire to travel by bus just decreased by a lot.
I just woke up from a nap and somehow while I was asleep, everyone on the bus has figured out we are not going to the right place

At some point we have to have a serious discussion about bringing back "Don't Feed the Trolls" rule because this was preventable if that repost account just stayed anonymous and obscure.

In awe of the patience of this person's wife and two friends who agreed to be subjected to the exact same basic pasta and sauce dish trying out 24 different brands of canned tomatoes, three different times per brand for sake of batch variation.

I probably would have considered divorce.

Most of the time that source is Rahm himself.
A gentle reminder that poorly (if at all) sourced assertions that Democrats are about to do something only Rahm Emanuel would like are one of the quickest ways to drive engagement on social media and you should probably treat them with at least some measure of skepticism

The reporter knows what they are doing and still a lot of people believe the false post over the correction. Really damaging to everyone’s sense of reality on this site.
extremely cool info environment to tweet something and a half hour later once it’s riled everyone up to be like “no haha jk it’s the opposite actually”

Unitary Executive Theory ended up winning given that people on both sides believe it now.
i don't even know why i'm raising this here because i know i'm going to get a hundred replies of "Trump has god powers that will let him do whatever he wants and thus we have no choice but to bend to his will," but for those of you capable of complex thought, these are questions to ask yourself.

There’s an anti-expert streak in this website where actual subject matter experts are belittled and harassed for talking about what they know, and I don’t think it’s a healthy thing for this site as a whole.

Trump really is the unrestrained Id of American masculinity cuz I guarantee you that almost every president wanted to do this at some point.

This sort of thing keeps happing in the geek space with indie companies.
The Hiveworks Artist Guild has released a public statement alleging years of labor abuses, financial mismanagement, and misconduct at Hiveworks at the hands of Xellette “Xel” Velamist and Isabelle “Isa” Melançon. Read their full statement at:

Unfortunately, clickbait won out in the end. Every major news org is doing it since they know it works, even if it leaves people less informed about the world.
Much of news reporting is communicated exclusively through either ragebait or trolling.
I'm going to be very blunt here: headlines like this and articles like this are a significant part of our media problem because they make people believe things that aren't true

Government should not nor can move at the speed of social media.
Things are happening so damn quickly these last few days but still too slowly for a social media audience clamoring for somebody to do something. It’s not actually possible to be fast enough to satisfy social media I don’t think
