The fact that itch posted this and not even an hour later I got a bunch of new sales proves how big it is when other people talk about your games.

It can literally be a life changing events.

When John Harper made a nice quote tweet about Breathless, hundreds of people looked at the game.

The Overton Window has shifted and increasingly wanton overt bigotry and evil are mainstream. Don’t accept it. Fight and defy people like this.

Mark Kelly: "I said something that was pretty simple and non-controversial, and that was that members of the military should follow the law. In response to that, Trump said I should be executed, I should be hanged ... it says a lot more about him than it says about me. I'm not going to be silenced."

1. Runequest ducks?

2. Favourite English Civil War faction.

3. Is Robespierre unfairly demonised?

4. UK Girls Comics of the 70s

In 2025 I will begin publishing Cairn supplements for third parties, under the moniker Cairn Press.

If you're a writer and want help with editing, layout, or printing I should be able to hook you up with the right people.

My goal is to make more Cairn content and get people paid for their work.

This is so important. I don't tend to run games where there's a whole lot of rules, but I don't really begrudge players for not knowing the rules, and usually it doesn't cause any problems. It might be more frustrating with more complex games, I guess, I wouldn't know.
Hot TTRPG take: It's less important that the group fully knows the rules and abilities than it is that they show up with enthusiasm to engage the game. #ttrpg

Appealing the dismissal instead of re-indicting is a way to kick the can down the road and avoid a lot of short-term humiliation over the other flaws in the case.
Leavitt: “We believe the attorney in this case, Lindsey Halligan, is not only extremely qualified…but she was in fact legally appointed. And I know the DOJ will be appealing this in very short order.”

My favorite editor is, as always, @ayvalentine.bsky.social , who has edited several of your favorite games’ designers’ favorite games
By the way, it's National Editor Appreciation Day.

Nobody ever reads a great article and thinks, "Dang, that was some tight editing." But editing is a big part of how it got to be great.

So writers, if you've ever worked with a good editor, shout 'em out.

No! That is this conversation. It's not separate. The Nuremberg trials said clearly that "I was following orders" is not a valid defense for committing crimes, and that is the conversation we're having right now.
BLITZER: During WW2, Nazi officers were following the chain of command, obeying illegal orders & slaughtered Jews during the Holocaust

McCLAIN: We're a long way from Nuremberg trials & the slaughtering of Jews. If you want to talk about the slaughtering the Jews we can have that convo another time
