Q: Politico reported on a group chat of young Republicans. Does this just reflect some bad apples?

HOCHUL: Some bad apples? These are the future of the GOP. This is so vile it's hard to find the words to put into context ... there's gotta be consequences ... this bullshit has to stop.

Two tiny articulated T-Rex desk friends. One is 3d printed in a rainbow gradient, the other in teal and purple. They both have white spots and pink hearts along their backs.

Sweet! I'm tempted to find some excuse to use this in my group's upcoming Halloween one-shot. Shame I'm only running a Level 3. I'll just have to keep it for later. 🎃

Ichabod's Frock

Now you can be the terror that goes bump in the night with this frock designed to frighten. We hope you enjoy our latest spooky #DnD magic item for this most spooky of months.

If you have it to spare, support us on Patreon to help us keep creating.
Ichabod’s Frock
+2 Studded Leather, Very Rare (requires attunement)

This thick, cuffed leather jacket is reinforced with an indistinguishable hardened hide on the interior making it surprisingly resistant to wear and tear. Where one would normally expect a hood, instead a jack-o’-lantern sits attached to the coat and burns in a sickly shade of ominous green. A curled and baleful smile creeps across the face of it and malicious intent gleams in its flame-licked eyes. A truly terrifying visage for all that would look upon it.

While you are attuned to this armor, once per hour, you can use a bonus action to remove the jack-o’-lantern from the coat. When you do so, it casts illusory magic making it appear that you don’t have a head underneath. Creatures within 30 feet that can see you must attempt a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. They can repeat the throw at the end of their turn, ending the effect on a success.

While you have the jack-o’-lantern removed from the coat, you canuse an action to throw it at a space of your choosing within 60 feet of you. When it hits, the jack-o’-lantern explodes in sickly green flames. Creatures within a 15 foot radius sphere of where the jack-o’-lantern hit must attempt a DC 18 Dexterity saving throw. Creatures take 10d6 necrotic damage on a failed save or half as much on a successful one. The jack-o’-lantern is destroyed in this process. The coat becomes a normal +2 Studded Leather jacket until the next dawn when the jack-o’-lantern regenerates.

I cannot believe people were losing their jobs for being mildly critical of Charlie Kirk and the president of the united states just went on tv and said "skill issue loser, RIP but I'm different"

Cyndi Lauper releases her “She’s So Unusual” LP 42 yrs ago today

“I wanted it to be an anthem .. for all women,” she said of the hit single. “I made sure that when a woman saw the video, she would see herself represented — whether she was thin or heavy, glamorous or not, and whatever race she was."

When we write or draw porn or erotica, we get banned from having a bank account and our livelihoods get seized even if we give it away for free.

When billionaires steal what we've written or drawn to churn out a slop-approximate of porn, they're allowed to charge for it.

Oh good, ChatGPT is getting "erotica for verified adults" later this year
We made ChatGPT pretty restrictive to make sure we were being careful with mental health issues. We realize this made it less useful/enjoyable to many users who had no mental health problems, but given the seriousness of the issue we wanted to get this right.

Now that we have been able to mitigate the serious mental health issues and have new tools, we are going to be able to safely relax the restrictions in most cases.

In a few weeks, we plan to put out a new version of ChatGPT that allows people to have a personality that behaves more like what people liked about 4o (we hope it will be better!). If you want your ChatGPT to respond in a very human-like way, or use a ton of emoji, or act like a friend, ChatGPT should do it (but only if you want it, not because we are usage-maxxing).

In December, as we roll out age-gating more fully and as part of our “treat adult users like adults” principle, we will allow even more, like erotica for verified adults.

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

A massive loss 💔

I keep hearing good things, but I haven't watched it yet. I'm generally hesitant with shows that have a church theme, and being a miniseries has made me more hesitant, but I keep hearing good things. It's spooky season, so I'll have to add it to the watch list.

Seriously, imagine your elevator pitch is "we offer an AI that revolutionizes the enterprise, answers questions at a PhD level, and also talks dirty to horny young men." It would be like if PornHub was selling a productivity suite.

It's a smaller piece of a larger picture, but also notice how they're conflating "weren't properly sad a bigot died" with "wish death on Americans." They're doing this (using the most inflammatory, exaggerated description possible) every time they describe action "on the left" to frame a narrative.

This is a great thread, over all, but this part stood out to me. I'm trying to wrap my head around how intentionally out of touch one has to be to believe that trans identities are primarily associated with the elite of any society, by any definition. It's just absurd, on the face of it.
dexanderson.com
Eric concentrates on "elite" and "ivy league" institutions throughout - which are NOT representative of the broader US population. He does so because he has a background belief that trans identities are a luxury afforded to the elite classes, not something working people concern themselves with.

Politicians who meet fascists half way, are just fascists.

Newsom is all about publicity & nothing about integrity.

It’s been depressing watching American ppl hero-worship a power crazed sell-out. It’s not just Kimberly Guilfoyle & cosmetic surgery he has in common with the Trumps. READ this:

1. Yesterday, the press gave Gavin Newsom favorable coverage for signing pro-LGBTQ+ bills.

Little noticed, however, was that he vetoed one of the most important ones: a bill allowing trans people 12 month HRT stockpiles, protecting them from federal threats.

A painting illustration of the character Isilaithion - an obsidian wyrm from the World of Warcraft setting in an elven visage with deep brown skin and long black hair. He is posed against a starry, dark background with Azeroth framing his head in the back, one side of it dark and destroyed, and the other yet vivid and lively. He has a relaxed pose, right hand raised to cast a wisp of flame while his left holds a stone snake gently. He wears black robes with gold trimmings and jewellery, the right side of his face shrouded in shadows, almost menacing with the purple glow to his eye; meanwhile, his gaze is drawn to the snake slithering in his hand as he smiles gently. art of a male Lavellan Inquisitor with his naked back against the viewer, showing off a white, almost glowing branch of vallaslin tattoos running down his spine and arching over his shoulders. his face is obscured by short cropped, curly black hair. illustration of a celestial called Paris. they are kneeling, mostly bare besides their long golden hair and wings covering them. their wings and body has golden, eldritch eyes appear on them and their plumage contorts into fleshy parts, signifying a corruption they suffered in their childhood. they smile coyly, almost a little sinisterly, with a golden halo bursting outwards behind their head. reference sheet of a blue dragon in a dracthyr visage. the lineup depicts his casual clothes, formal wear and armor, both front and back view. Each outfit contains various shades of blues and greys with silver trimmings. On the right, his inventory is depicted, including a fractured, dark ice staff, a purple arcane wand, a journal, an obsidian snake held together with volcanic magic, an assortment of crystals, and a spiky, dark elementium cube artifact.
