Acquisition of an e-cargo bike in April virtually eliminated local car journeys. An unexpected bonus was facilitating husband's recovery following near-fatal stroke in August. Told at his 4 month follow-up appointment they'd not seen anyone arrive by bike before, 50+ years of cycling saved his life

Yes, the floral conservatory is Very Nice. But council is also considering cutting 20+% of transit's budget; closing ice rinks; crippling all festivals like CVAF, SwampFest & Mosaic; stripping all community associations of their core funding. The list is a monster & that's the tip of the iceberg. /3

After MTS adopted free fares for minors, the average age of riders on my usual bus (serves two high schools and both weekend terminals are shopping malls) dropped substantially. They get freedom without driving (inherently dangerous at their age) or their families needing to afford the extra car.
Just preaching my message of "wanting to do less more often" we all have our reasons.
