So this is still one of my proudest possessions.

I'm not a hero. Just an ordinary bloke with a bit of talent on boats.

I always enjoyed the anonymity of just being No 2.

Small things can change lives.
So if I want to be different and not follow the sheeple I can be abused and told to conform?

Sorry sheeple but you missed the point of open source.

You probably also missed the reasoning behind both systemd and wayland. They weren't built for your benefit. 🤷‍♂️

And what a tedious bit of 'Brexit wasn't done properly' nonsense he has come up with. Tho' I did enjoy the delicious stupidity of: "Post-Brexit, London also could have become more of a hub for blockchain and stablecoins. But many Bitcoin traders prefer Portugal and Milan because of the tax regime."

AWS now lets you stream Ubuntu apps via "WorkSpaces Applications Elastic fleets" because apparently "remote desktop" was too simple. Pay-as-you-go pricing TBD after you've committed your architecture.

"The docs were bad and didn't tell me what to do so #Linux is utter shite and I'm weally weally so upset I might have to go back to Windows"

Please don't say things like that. Direct your ire at the correct party eg docs.

"But but but don't insult me. Hissy fit"

Fuck off then

Absolute bellends.

If you're moaning & whining about using #Linux then I suggest you either give yourself a good talking too, or slink off back to your Windows world you hated so much.

Nope, learning is hard. You did it with #Windows without realising it, and biz were bribed to make it easy.

As it turns out, having 16000+ filesystem mounts on a single Linux machine is not a good idea.

No one did that on purpose. It appears to be a configuration bug in Kolla-Ansible for OpenStack that mounts a Docker volume inside of another Docker volume.

Also making the point in today's Guardian piece that the sight of global companies working overtly with the US government to coerce a UK government desperate for positive headlines about investment is a hugely worrying precedent which we need to be discussing.

Because people are stupid enough to pay for them.

The excuses given in the article are mainly just.... nonsense.

And hybrids with a AA sized battery in a #WankPanzer is insane. Make the battery in hybrids a percentage of vehicle weight or some such.

Excellent piece, among the first I've seen to think about what the implications if the political obsession with migration might lead to
New post just out:

"The Overshoot"

Net migration is collapsing, and will fall further over the coming years. We could even have net emigration.

What does that mean for the country and the political narrative as we head towards the next election?
