I found a great book on root cellaring (called Root Cellaring) by Bubel at the dump. Highly recommend if it is available at your dump.

Not joking: has one reporter responded to his preposterous Sgt Schultz “I know nothing” schtick by immediately asking:

* Doesn’t this level of ignorance disqualify you as speaker?

* Do you really think we are so dumb to believe you?

* Do you think it is appropriate to insult the voters like this?
RAJU: If defenseless survivors were killed, would that constitute a violation of the laws of war?

MIKE JOHNSON: I'm not going to prejudge any of that. I was pretty busy yesterday. I didn't follow a lot of the news.

Consider too that relative to 11 months from now, today may look like the good times, economically and otherwise.
Ds don't seem to be getting what they need out of Nashville. But if the margin lands at R+3, that's a D+19 shift from 2024 -- we're not talking a wave, we're talking tsunami

I am begging one, JUST ONE, congressional reporter to follow up with Mike Johnson by asking, "What are the American people to make of a Speaker of the House who tells us daily that he's not aware of what's happening on Capitol Hill and the White House?"

I just find it hilarious that his whole cabinet is sloberring praise all over him with ridiculous hyperbole and he is falling asleep while they're doing it.

You couldn't write comedy better than this. It's better than VEEP.

It's great that reporting on the double tap has spotlighted the abject criminality of this Administration.

But don't forget: Venezuela is not waging war on America or Americans, and the men killed were not combatants.

The first strike was every bit as illegal as the second.

But it does worry me a little bit to see military officials angry about Bradley being thrown under the bus without a concurrent acknowledgement that he did in fact commit an obvious war crime.

The nearest Costco is an hour and a half away and I have never made the trip.

No need! I signed up online and they ship to our front door!
All the more reason to shop at Costco over Target or Amazon.

If blowing up survivors in the water was the right thing to do because they are “narco-terrorists” (trust us, bro) and deserve no quarter, why did we rescue two other survivors in a different strike, fly them home, and let them go free?

It’s important to note from a military perspective that if a subordinate is about to give an unlawful order & his senior knows about it, it’s also a requirement for the senior official to stop him from executing it. And then counsel/discipline him.

So there’s that, too.

This doesn't prove a conspiracy between the Trump admin and the Sinaloa Cartel, but what it does prove is that it's very damn easy for groups like the Sinaloa Cartel to launder money and influence to protect their interests from the US government.

And it's likely many other criminals are doing so.
I got to thinking: "What if it's not about the contradiction between the Hernandez pardon and the air strikes, but about the consistency between them?"

As President of Honduras, he used the power of the government to go after certain cartels—primarily the rivals of the Sinaloa Cartel, with whom he

Trump allowed 17 members of the Sinaloa cartel into the US.

In May he commuted the 6x life sentences of the leader of the Gangster Disciples, most notorious drug trafficking & murderous street gang in the US.

Now Honduran drug trafficker Hernandez.

Is Trump setting up his own drug corridor?

Read this thread and ask why wouldn't this be true?

It's certainly the cleanest explaination I've seen so far for the otherwise glaring contradictions between specific pardons and boat strikes.
