So much of cheerleading triggers the "is this pretense necessary" button to me. Worked with a lot of ex-cheer athletes at last job, around same time Netflix's cheer docu-series came out, and... it's so cool what they do but the "everything else" about it makes it so hard to
engage with.

Is there space in the discourse for "yeah I don't take Nard-dawg's comments at face value" to exist along with "I still think they should fire his ass with two games left and promote Kade Bell because he sucks and everyone hates him?"
Pitt’s star running back said he sat out an extra week to make sure he was healthy for the Notre Dame game. You cannot honestly believe Pitt/Narduzzi didn’t want to beat Notre Dame on Saturday. It was their biggest home game in years.
I do think there is going to be legitimate discourse about coaches like Narduzzi saying games against ND are irrelevant when they are angling for a conference title & then going out and playing like it. If no team playing against ND is taking the games seriously then there’s going to be issues.

Earnestly excited about LearnedLeague this season. My life is finally in a spot where I'm hopeful to finish with no forfeits. Also excited about my truly horrendous Defensive Efficiency through week one. I hope my opponents enjoy getting the 0.63 points per correct answer I give them.
