DHS claimed "Medics provided immediate aid to Pretti." They lied. In truth, a physician entered a sworn affidavit that ICE blocked him from reaching Pretti, and when he finally got there ICE wasn't giving him CPR, but counting bullet holes.

This is one of the things that I find is most shocking to people outside Minnesota who don’t realize it yet—the scale at which everyone who isn’t white has been forced into a spectrum of hiding.

On NPR on Friday, there was a story of a 4-year-old--an American citizen--who hasn't left her house since early December, not even to play in the yard. And her 8-year-old brother recently stopped going to school, too. Their father is undocumented, and the family doesn't want to risk him being taken.

Some thoughts on Minnesota:
The State ought to bring charges. I don’t exactly what charge best fits without researching Minnesota law but there’s enough out there to make a reasonable case that the officer discharged his weapon without sufficient justification resulting in the death of a citizen.

That stinks. I loved unwinding with an episode now and then. I saw MASH left Hulu on Thursday, and is no place else that I can tell either. Mary Tyler Moore also nowhere to be found, though its streaming presence has always been sporadic.
