What has happened to the UK that the child benefit cap removal is so unpopular?
A mansion tax is one of the most popular things that Labour has done - 67% in favour, 19% against.

Nigel Farage has spent £1m taking out adverts in the papers to distract from the Nathan Gill Russian bribe scandal.

We can't let him buy himself out of this. We need an investigation into Russian influence in our politics.

The UK loses high-income people like me (who wants to live in a country whose policy is designed to enrich Boomers at the expense of my generation?) and is replacing them with low-income people from poorer countries.

It's only going to get worse.

It is the job of the British Media to divide and conquer: lie to the people, get the simpletons angry about immigration (or taxes) so that they will support policy which hurts their interest and furthers the interests of the billionaires who own the paper.
Only a sixth of the public know that immigration is now falling (significantly) from its peak levels. It is a challenge to the politicians and the media to do their distinct jobs more effectively by communicating this, so we can have a more informed debate

Serious howls of outrage in the media this morning at what is a relatively modest Budget from Labour that does nothing more than fiddle around the margins.

It does highlight the missed opportunity. If you’re going to get this reaction anyway, why not at least get it for attempting a big swing?

Don’t waste money on new fossil infrastructure, folks. Tropical islands can cost effectively transition off of fossil fuels using solar, wind and batteries. No LNG needed.

The recent NPM worm - which relied on developers checking in configuration changed in THEIR CODEBASE made by THE WORM goes to show how far we have fallen.

I no longer expect developers to have even a basic understanding of WTF they're doing.

Is it just me or has the Switch 2 been a massive letdown? We're almost 6 months in yet the number of Switch 1 games which have received an update to at the very least unlock FPS is tiny and there haven't been any new ones for months.

Volgens mij heeft dit helemaal niks met vlees te maken?

Sorry but this is clearly bullshit: the English term Mincemeat has been used for generations and is purely plant-based.

"Gehakt" is Dutch for "Mincemeat".

The concept isn't only well known here, our supermarkets literally post recipes:

Great game this especially for $2, so fun that I spent 10x that on the physical collectors edition 🤣

The current Dutch cabinet are starting to look like the UK cabinets of Cameron, May, Johnson and Truss.

We've gone from being one of the top kids to the fiscal heroin-junkie of the EU within a year.

It could have been worse, we could have had our own Truss..

It feels so backwards with the cycling infrastructure being so bad. It has gotten worse too!

Then we should round up the rest of them.

BBC also confirms this was done on the advice of lawyers. So Trump's threats worked.

Rachel Reeves says there’s a “hole” in the public finances.

A new decade-long Brexit study explains it:

a 6–8% hit to GDP – that's £180bn-£240bn a year – means less tax, less investment and less money for everything else.

Brexit made Britain poorer. Much poorer.
