All I see on my Twitter timeline are reporters parsing every quote from AOC in Germany, trying to mock them for incoherence or inaccuracy, while a demented old man who can’t string sentences together or stay awake sits in the Oval, while the legacy media happily sanewashes his quotes.

One thing I've learned in the last couple of decades is that there can be instances of stupidity so intense that they cause me literal physical pain. I'm not even sure what the physiological mechanism, but it's real.

MAGA relies heavily on the assumption that you are very, very stupid.

There is no constitutional right of law enforcement to detain me, throw me to the ground, and then put five bullets in my back while masked and unidentified.

There is a right to vote.

So when thousands of women (and children) were being duplicated--including in non-consensual AI porn--it was no big deal. But it took "only a 15-sec clip" of these two famous white men to draw outrage and fear. Gotcha. Cool cool.
It took only a 15-second clip of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt duking it out on a crumbling rooftop — made by A.I. with a two-sentence prompt and the click of a button — to draw swift outrage, and sizable fear, from Hollywood.

"It’s nothing short of terrifying," one scriptwriter said.
Why an A.I. Video of Tom Cruise Battling Brad Pitt Spooked Hollywood
A 15-second clip created by an artificial intelligence tool owned by the Chinese technology company ByteDance appears more cinematic than anything so far.

Writing is thinking.

It's not some marginal boring task you can skip. It's the heart of it.
It’s easy to think writing is mainly the transcription of ideas you already have—that is, until you try to write something worthwhile, and you find what you thought were saying transform into something far more interesting in the process. This skips that last step, and that is *not* an improvement.
“We plan to hire an AI rewrite specialist to ingest the reporting by Hannah and others and use AI to convert it into stories.”

The editor of the Cleveland Plain Dealer said it will use AI to ‘write’ its articles.

Vaguely recall how Biden admin emails to Twitter were the biggest attack on free speech ever. There was a whole twitter files thing about that.

Curious where are Elon, Taibbi, Bari and crew on this?

U.K. might lose a prime minister because a guy who worked for him knew another guy who hung out with Epstein. Meanwhile the U.S. opposition party is telling our President, who was Epstein's best friend, that his secret police should get better training so their public street murders look less messy.

Kash Patel, a podcaster selected because of his fierce loyalty to the President, told FBI agents not to investigate the details on Renee Good's shooting because it would contradict the President. Fact matter less than the King's opinion in a personalist regime.

Q: Can you be specific about how many ICE and CBP agents are currently operating in the state?

HOMAN: 3,000. There's been some rotations. They've been in theater a long time. Day after day, can't eat in restaurants, people spin on you, blowing whistles at you. But my main focus now is draw down

It is moronic and fascistic to claim else. How can the public know if
a shooting by a LEO is their
first or tenth, or to confirm the details of prior use-of-force incidents, as well as the experience and service record of a given officer if name is withheld. Basic
public information. Has to be.
It's not quite the most pressing issue at the moment, but the American people absolutely have a right to know the names of the federal officials who shot and killed a man peacefully protesting, who was on his knees, prone in the street when they shot him in the back.

The only consistent right wing ideology is hypocrisy
I almost appreciate how Trump has exposed how vacant every single high profile conservative belief was: free speech, states’ rights, letting the market decide, NATO, the right to bear arms, democracy, all of it. It’s been an empty, malicious political project for decades and decades now
Folks have been noting the creepiness of this NRA statement on the Minneapolis murder that DOESN'T affirm Alex Pretti's right to have a gun at a protest, instead blaming "radical progressive politicians lie Tim Walz" who have "incited violence against law enforcement officers" for his death....

We know that famous American ideal, where the government has a right to shoot you dead because of “rhetoric.”
Bovino: "When politicians, community leaders, & some journalists engage in that heated rhetoric we keep talking about, when they make the choice to vilify law enforcement calling law enforcement 'Gestapo' or using the term 'kidnapping,' that is a choice & there are actions & consequences."

It’s hard to overstate how freakish it is for law enforcement who just shot someone to be shuffled off to other assignments with no investigative period at all.
BASH: Are they agents who were involved still on the job?

Notice the whole time in this interview that he calls Alex Pretti, who was shot at least 10 times, a "suspect"
BASH: Where did he assault an officer? It looked to us that he was approached by them when he was helping another individual who was pushed down

BOVINO: We don't need a suspect's help in a law enforcement scene

BASH: So when somebody is pushed down, you stand back?

BOVINO: Follow directions

Bill Kristol sees this shit clearly. I don't know how so many elected Democrats don't.
Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.
