Just take a look at this and remember, Pam Bondi's concern here was not with any of the victims of these crimes but with the nosy Democrats who actually gave a shit about them.

The best way to understand current AI tech is to see them as incredibly dense databases which are very efficient both at storing large amounts of data and at querying that data.

They are capable of generalization, but only for tasks that you can prove are viable through manifold analysis.

It's like builders of secret volcano bases being shocked at the client list.

In the overstuffed closet containing things about which I shall never give a listless fuck, the status of alternatives to nationally-backed currencies or recognized commodities will forever reside. These are Dutch tulips. This is a long-con pyramid game. Every rube should lose his last nickel.
Despite? Or because there is no surer indicator that something is a scam?

I would have described it as a "speculation economy" or a "gambling economy," but "scam economy" works well.

Nothing created; fortunes wagered on quarterly line-go-up mining a finite amount of cultural objects that the wagerers believe to be infinite. Investment is a bet on "Can I flip this?"
The post-industrial period of a developed economy is characterized by three phases.

Until the 2010s, we were in a service economy. Now we are in a scam economy. And we are about to find out what phase comes next.

The hometown newspaper that I read as a teenager through Watergate and Vietnam and made me crave the life of a reporter is now being butchered by a billionaire who had $75 million to bribe and flatter a president and his wife but nothing to save journalism, an bulwark of the republic itself. Got it.

Neil Gaiman's theory seems to be that a star investigative reporter has come to his side in his hour of need, but must work from the dark shadows of anonymity in the depths of a substack lest the Secret Council of Woke Leaders (SCoWL) punish them as well.

But dude always was a fabulist.
