I left a year ago and it certain felt like I'd stayed way too long. I know some of you are still on there and I do judge you a wee bit tbh
I quit the former Twitter two years ago this week, and I am here to tell you that my online life got a lot better for having left it. In two years I've not been tempted to go back, and I haven't felt any penalty in either career or community for not being there. It's nice to be here and not there.

Yes the apple doesn't fall far from the tree but also squirrels eat the apples and poop the pips out over an area of several square miles

I do think we should be able to do English degrees, but also mine had six hours a week of actual teaching time so it's not *not* a rip off
Calling English a 'rip-off degree' is one of the most blatant exhibitions of personal barbarism I've ever seen. You've demonstrated nothing but the poverty of your own mind.
