I don’t know how to explain to all of you outside the Twin Cities metro how bleak it is to live here right now - and yet somehow I am even more certain of the goodness of my community than I ever have been.

We explained ICE to my six year old last night but didn’t even mention the murder they committed in town. When he woke up this morning and we told him school was closed he immediately asked if it was because of ICE.

Hard agree as a parent of an MPS student.
It’s absolutely the right call and fucking surreal that our public schools have to close because of the threat posed by OUR OWN FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. I am beyond livid.
This the right call.

Please check in with neighbors who may need support with childcare.

I mean what would Trump reasonably do if Minnesota pressed charges. Deny funding to the state? He's already doing that!
Remember: Federal officials do not enjoy categorical, absolute immunity from state-level prosecutions. They are entitled to removal to federal court. But conduct that is unreasonable or unnecessary for the execution of their law enforcement duties is susceptible to criminal prosecution.

I only learned of this device yesterday. I spent about 90 minutes calling all around the twin cities only to find it’s sold out absolutely everywhere. Reminds of when I had to go through TSA because the last Yoto in town was for sale at MSP Airport.

Damn did the CPI print come in low. Of course assuming rent growth was 0 in October certainly helped keep it low. Even my firm’s relatively apolitical chief investment officer wonders if the fix is in (I’m not quite there yet but the fact we wonder at all sucks)

Especially silly considering CA starts linking its cap and trade program to Washington’s next year, and the new governor will have their hands directly in the process.
Wrote about why I think it's a bad idea — politically and otherwise — that none of California's gubernatorial candidates want to talk about climate change. www.climatecoloredgoggles.com/p/climate-go...
Who wants to be a climate governor?
In the battle between physics and politics, politics is winning — even in California.
