Okay diving into an idea for an AT Proto app. Outside of the main docs what are some a) good tutorials/repos to see full lexicons to finished app and b) helper libraries that may not be listed on the main site?

Apple Maps already updated with new Federal Way station while Google hasn’t yet. Apple Maps been feeling a lot better the last few years. Maybe getting more care and feeding than Google Maps these days.

Only have one free day this weekend to do Christmas lights. Choosing the unbridled joy of turning the block to see my house lit up over the lesser joy of 3 new stops of light rail opening in south Seattle today. Can’t wait to form an excuse to go to Federal Way for the first time ever though.

The CWC and now this WC draw both have felt so uncoordinated. Like no presenter knows what they’re doing, off the cuff, like they didn’t hire a single writer to give them some decent canned responses. Should just release the lists. Don’t need to watch the draw with this low level of entertainment.

The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

Hot damn La Grazia was so good. Caught last night’s screening at SIFF and we’re still talking about it. Beautifully shot. At times funny and at times thoughtful on the topic of euthanasia. Definitely will be watching again. youtu.be/zvQn44a_IHo?...

Already off to a great start. First mayor (elect) in recent memory to call Starbucks out for their bullshit (saying this as an ex-partner AKA employee). Of course easy to not cross the picket line when you’re a real Seattlite in line at Monorail Espresso already.
Across the country, Starbucks workers are on an Unfair Labor Practice strike for a fair first contract, and I know which side I’m on. Baristas make Starbucks an extraordinarily wealthy company. They are entitled to their fair share of that wealth and to benefits and fair treatment on the job.

Just learning of the Republic of Rose Island (great Netflix dramatization of events Isola delle Rose). Sealand and Republic of Minerva vibes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Republi... Every boy just wants to build a fort and have no one tell them what to do in it.

Been going to SIFF’s “Cinema Italian Style” the last few days and have caught every movie so far. One of my favorite Seattle film events. www.siff.net/programs-and... Runs through the weekend if you’re looking to do something different and an excuse to ride the Monorail in Seattle.

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!
