These morons get to carry deadly weapons and use them with near impunity 👍
From the scanner right now: LAPD is taking rubber bullets from LASD. I am not joking. (They're in each other's crossfire, it's a clusterfuck that they've largely brought on themselves)

LAPD and LA Sheriffs tried to prevent two large protests from joining together in downtown and both departments ended up hitting EACH OTHER with impact munitions from across the same interesection.

The LA gang wars of the 2020s have begun
Many of the LA Sheriffs didn't have their gas masks on yet so the Sheriffs got gassed by LAPD

LAPD was on the radio crying about getting shot by rubber bullets by the sheriffs, so I'd say fair trade

Typical level of professional policing for Los Angeles. Waiting for CHP to join the fun.

THIS THIS THIS
Creating a labor floor that is so bad that the only readily available jobs that pay a living wage are the ones where you a mask on your face and put boots on your neighbors necks....was entirely the point.
Is it? For working class people who I imagine did not go to college this is a good job and now they get a $44k bonus, which will probably will be repeated.

What's wild is that Democrats don't follow this basic blueprint *even when the facts are on their side.* For example, Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito have essentially taken bribes from billionaires. The Dems should just hammer this relentlessly and call for their resignations. Instead, they're silent.
Rufo manages to put points on the board because he

1) Understands what it is he's trying to do
2) is persistent
3) is well-funded
4) wields real power through his allies control of Florida's government

No cleverness required! Just like: someone handed him a hammer and he's pounding some nails.

Porn is only the beginning.
Sex workers have always been the canary in the coal mines.

After sex work is anything sexual, anything lgbtq, anything reproductive health, anything women, anything that isn't white

It's like clockwork
The government wants to take away your porn and you’re letting it fucking happen.

I want to be clear that I’m a pretty pragmatic, harm reduction-oriented voter. But that’s not how most people think about politics. If they don’t feel like they’re being heard or respected, they will eventually stop engaging.

the problem with these demands for cold, political rationality from Arabs and Muslims in this moment is that it misses how alienating it feels to them to have political discourse perpetually be *about* you but never meaningfully include you.

Respectfully, CNN isn't sending embeds into Gaza with Palestinian guides. Israel controls who gets access to Palestinian territories and that inherently shapes coverage as does the media's bias towards the status quo.

maybe because things are way more expensive, like food and rent, and healthcare is also more expensive, and most people don't have a hope in hell of ever buying a house. I'm so tired of these stories that are like "things are great, idiot" when for many people they don't feel great
What's causing the gap between voters' perceptions of how the economy is doing and reality? It might be the content they're consuming online.
