Little reminder of Farage's pro Putin tendencies....

Hopefully some media outlets may take up @eddavey.libdems.org.uk 's suggestions to probe Mr Farage a bit more on this.

Is Farage saying he chose to support the wishes of a hostile foreign govt for free? 😲

Who is responsible here? The engineer who designed the road? The construction industry that uses these killer trucks? The government for refusing even to make sideguards mandatory, let alone regulate truck design as they do in Europe, where the rate of killing and injury has been cut in half?
A crossing guard dies in Hamilton, Ontario, due to regulatory failure and bad design
Meanwhile, in London, the government says, "safe vehicles save lives."

24 hour bus lanes should be standard; there’s no point in increasing road capacity outside of the busy times a bus lane is needed. You might as well make them active all the time by default, then there’s no confusion. If it’s to allow parking - tough. There should be no parking on a bus corridor.

Nature not an ‘enemy’ or ‘blocker’ to housebuilding, MPs find
Nature should not be viewed as an “inconvenience” to development and most housebuilding delays are for other reasons, a parliamentary committee has found.

This bus-and-cycle expressway runs directly from Nijmegen station to the university and hospital in the south of the city. People on bikes and buses get there fast without delays, while motor traffic has to take the longer route.

Priorities matter. This is what it looks like when a city means it.

When asked which leader he most admires, Farage didn't skip a beat before answering "Vladimir Putin".

Farage and Reform have been bought and paid for.
Nathan Gill, Reform UK’s former leader in Wales has been jailed for ten-and-a-half years for taking bribes to make pro-Russia statements. What does Nigel Farage think about this?

“The lesson from these junctions is that with political will, there is a way. Claims we need to ‘balance’ motor traffic, public transport, cycling, walking and wheeling, are bogus… The compromises, delays, and inaction around too many junctions are currently killing and injuring too many Londoners”
Why aren’t London’s lethal junctions being fixed faster? Transport chiefs happy with “acceptable” number of crashes to avoid impacting bus times, cycling campaigners say – as “people keep dying”
New research by the London Cycling Campaign found that the capital’s ten most dangerous junctions resulted in four cyclist deaths and 51 serious injuries between 2020 and 2024

Compare and contrast the Government language.

£3,750 EV grant on a £35k car: ‘helping families’.

Cycle to Work: ‘subsidising leisure’.

And yet cycling delivers TEN TIMES the impact of electric cars for reaching net zero. It’s almost like narrative, not data, is driving policy.
