regrettably I must promote the labeler in order for the labeler to gain traction, and the labeler needs users in order for the labeler to be useful, so: if your pronouns labeler went "poof!" today, here's one I made:
Like a post to have your account labeled with the corresponding pronouns. Like the "Clear All Labels" post to remove all labels from this labeler from your account.

Adding and removing labels may take up to a few minutes.

Part of the way social media makes people crazy is notifying them of every single damn thing. Turn it all off. Look at the site when you want to. Never, ever allow it to make your phone make noise. Nothing that important is going to happen here.
I turn of all notifications for literally every damn app. My phone only rings out loud if it's someone who's in my phone book and it only beeps at me if I set an alarm or a loved one is texting.
This is a good thread to read. I will only add that I do not get ANY social-media notifications or news alerts on my phone and it is a foundational building block of my sanity that no nonhuman entity, not even Bluesky, gets to initiate conversations with me.

Right now I think I could pull off the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack. If not that, we’re doing So Much (for) Stardust
If someone put $1,000,000 on the table and said you had to listen to one album on repeat for 48 hours straight…
what album are you risking your sanity for?

I know the to-do list is already real full, but we have GOT to have a reckoning with how broadly surveillance culture has been accepted and how we can rein that in. #uspoli
These peaceful observers I spoke to had ICE show up at their homes in what they see as attempts at intimidation. ICE has somehow been accessing Minnesotans' private data in likely violation of state law, according to privacy advocates.

If you are anxious and sad about the state of the world, that's fine, and there are plenty of strategies for dealing with that. But I think you already know that drive-by online dooming isn't a strategy. It's selfish and adolescent. It's a contagion that only spreads the worst of you, not the best.
