If Jeff Bezos could afford to spend $75 million on the Melania movie & $500 million for a yacht to sail off to his $55 million wedding to give his wife a $5 million ring, please don't tell me he needed to fire one-third of the Washington Post staff.

Democracy dies in oligarchy.

Getting the impression that ICE is gearing up for a pogrom in Springfield, Ohio, which was ground zero of Vance’s lies about Haitians during the campaign. Haitians lose temporary protected status on February 3rd. Reporters, lawyers, neighbors — please get ready.

Until then, they’re staying the course, and we need to continue resisting every step of the way.

While independent bookstores are giving out free whistles, hosting protest sign making events, and donating proceeds to mutual aid, Amazon is *checks notes* providing technology that assists ICE in their terrorizing of communities.

Independent bookstores deserve your support. Amazon does not.

I think what a lot of folks miss is how profitable deportation is for the corporations involved & the politicians they're backing.

Holding people, physically removing them, is cost for the taxpayer & profit into the pockets of the worst people you can imagine.

OOINYA could have sold the remaining Unbound copies of the books to me, in bulk, & no longer have had to pay for warehouse space.

Instead, they have decided to sell them via Amazon, as new, interfering with my attempt to restart my career.

Please do not buy these. Buy the new Swift press versions.
Unbound was a very dodgy publishing enterprise, treating its authors appallingly and failing to pay them. Sadly, the awful treatment continues even now they are gone.
I thought I'd bought all my Unbound warehouse stock, but then I found out that OOINYA/Omni have a load more and are selling them as new via Amazon. I made them an offer to buy the whole lot and they refused. So all I can do is ask people to buy the new Swift Press versions of my books instead.

The truth is - the truth that usually doesn't show itself until long (sometimes many years) after a book's release day - is that there are only two things that matter, & neither of them are about the media.

One is whether the book is any fucking good.

The other is whether readers connect with it.

They tried to sell my parents' art back to me.

My parents' art. That my parents & I gave to Unbound entirely for free, to help them launch my book. Which Unbound then asked my readers for money for. Then ran off with that money.

They tried to sell that back to me.

You really couldn't make it up.
LOL they're trying to sell the MARKETING FREEBIES
