Mahers vicious racism and Islamophobia has been on full display for decades now, the reality is that way too many American liberals and centrists are happy and comfortable with that racism; and they are all happy to abandon any number of women to ensure a Muslim man doesn’t become mayor.

The current paradigm of "AI"— all of its, e.g., embedded values, design, cultural deployment, & structural affordances— has been repeatedly demonstrated to harm both critical skills development & the structure & maintenance of the relational social fabric.

That sounds pretty anti-pedagogical, to me
“One of the negative consequences AI is having on students is that it is hurting their ability to develop meaningful relationships with teachers, the report finds. Half of the students agree that using AI in class makes them feel less connected to their teachers.”
Rising Use of AI in Schools Comes With Big Downsides for Students
A report by the Center for Democracy and Technology looks at teachers' and students' experiences with the technology.

They’re kicking Black men out of the military over beards. Three out of five Black servicemen have pseudofolliculitis barbae which is a painful skin condition caused by shaving.

This is blatant discrimination.

Burr’s “‘ey I’m just a schlub, just one of the guys on the job site” stage persona is so effect that it’s easy to forget that he grew up an upper-middle class son of a dentist and his favorite hobby is piloting helicopters. He has no idea who “we” are and never has.

The language of non-consent around AI is really telling. "It's too late to be scared." "It's here whether we want it or not." "You'll have to learn to work with it." "You can't fight the inevitable."

All just variations of "you're not allowed to say no." Creepy technology made by creepy people.

Sex can advance plot, can deepen character, and, deliciously, be set dressing. Consider, the time-honored and noble tradition of playing porn on huge TVs in gay bars, it's *absolutely* necessary because it keeps the riff raff out.
A TikTok from this film industry account was posted about how an industry survey of Gen Z media consumers found that a near supermajority of young people thought television and cinema had too much sexual content. These were the comments.

SO when you grow up in an abusive home, you often don't realize it's abusive.

Because there's a culture of silence.

One way many people recognize abuse for the first time is in talking to other people who are horrified and you realize how bad it is. How abnormal.

Social media is huge for this.
Children are in fact people & as such do deserve basic human rights just the same as every other person, and that includes the right to the freedom of information & the freedom of association and that 75% of parents worldwide disagree does not make me wrong in saying our youth deserve liberation
Should kids use social media? Global opinion has shifted, new poll finds
The survey asked respondents in 30 countries about banning children under 14 from social media.

taking a stance against simulated "non consent" in porn is idiotic and leads always to having some dipshit appointed to arbitrarily decide what acts between adults "can't be consented to," and therefore can't be depicted. I'll give you a hint: they will be gay.
