I think you need to seperate out those who are against AD in all circumstances, and those who are against this particular bill. I know a few people who in principle agree with AD but who are absolutely against this bill because it's a mess with lack of safeguards and too little scrutiny.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

An absolutely shocking story with brilliant reporting from Jim here:
I’ve written this lengthy FT analysis overnight about the multiple multi-thousand pound Epstein payments to Mandelson’s husband

these particular paragraphs are worth reading slowly

Lord Peter Mandelson was sent money directly from disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein as early as 2003, according to new files released by US government

The files record three payments in 2003/4 from Epstein’s JPMorgan accounts of $25,000 each, all mentioning Mandelson

This is one of the most brilliant (and beautifully written) analyses of the dissolution and future of the UK's party system you will ever read. @prospectmagazine.co.uk is free to read at the moment, so I'd urge any of you with an interest in British politics to get hold of it as soon as you can.
The party is over
The glory days for Britain’s old parties are in the past. A new kind of politics is required

I have written about the very specific and personal reasons I am ok with a Twitter ban. Chiefly, that it means I will stop looking at Twitter.
