Just want to stress that this was a woman who was simply trying to get to a doctor's appointment.
We are so far past the Rubicon that it isn't worth having a discussion anymore as to whether Trump is acting as an authoritarian. The only question is whether we have the strength and courage to get back to the other side.

To put it simply, if people are attacked by a civilian-looking plane shooting other civilian looking planes down preventatively becomes a much more likely option.
perfidy (concealing a military object as a civilian object like Hegseth apparently did) is both morally abhorrent and also puts EVERYONE in danger because it erodes existing and pretty-dang-effective norms around “don’t shoot at civilian aircraft.”
